I specifically choose not to add a fur ruff to the tiger head to depict an unsettling ambiguity between a taxidermy armature and a stuffed head. The tiger needed to portray a regal yet somber dignity. The tiger could have easily morphed into a cute animated animal, so I had to stay focused on my goal of achieving the blank stare. I developed a technique, using gel medium and tiny glass seed beads, to define the stripes. Each bead was painstakingly added by hand using tweezers.
